Uniform Policy & Guidelines Please Note Changes for 2009-2010 Uniform Policy. Some Changes Have Been Made
If you have already purchased navy blue or light blue shirts, or a plaid skirt or jumper, your child may wear these items to school this year. HOWEVER, be advised that any subsequent uniform purchases must adhere to the new revisions.
Uniforms are an integral part of a Catholic education. Support and
compliance with the uniform policy and guidelines is an expectation
of all school families. Uniforms may be purchased at Sensations,
Land's End Catalog or St. Rose School. If you are unsure of any of these guidelines
please visit the office and compare your selection to those sold in the office. All uniforms must be similar in style and material.
Shoes-- tennis shoes (no open-toe, platform or boot
styles)
Socks-- navy blue or white ONLY (NEW 2009)
Hats and Jackets--Navy Blue ONLY. ONLY SRS LOGOS (NEW 2009)!
Collared Shirts-- White ONLY collared shirts must have SRS logo ONLY. Shirts must be
tucked into pants, shorts, etc. (NEW 2009)
Sweatshirts/Vests-- navy blue sweatshirts/vests
Saint Rose Catholic School logo ONLY. No commercial graphics. (NEW 2009)
Shorts and pants-- must be navy blue with internal pockets
only. If you are unsure of the type of material or style, please compare to those on sale in the office.
Boys shorts length-- must be at or above the knees. (A portion
of the knee must be showing)
Girls skirts, and skorts-- navy blue ONLY NO PLAIDS All attire, including shorts, must
be 3 1/2 inches or less above the top of the knee when standing.
(hint: use a credit card lengthwise to measure)
Belts-- students (6th-8th) must wear belts if their pants/shorts
have belt loops. Belt loops may not be cut off. Belts must be plain
brown, black or navy.
P.E. Uniforms-- for middle school students may be purchased
at Sensations.
Earrings-- Girls may wear up to two earrings per ear. The
earrings must be post/stud type for safety reasons. Boys may not
wear earrings.
Hair-- must be neatly groomed and of natural hair color.
Boys' hair may not extend past the shirt collar.
Clothing must be clean, neat, untorn and appropriately sized.
Extreme bagginess or tightness of clothing is unacceptable.
Nail polish, make-up, and large pieces of jewelry are not appropriate
for school and are not allowed. Please do not come to school with nail polish or make-up, you will be required to remove it.
Tattoos of any kind are not allowed.
Parents will be called if their child is out of dress code and
will be expected to bring appropriate clothing to the student or your child may purchase clothing from the office.
Note- 7th & 8th grade students may wear khaki
shorts, pants and/or skirts in addition to navy blue, as long as
they adhere to the uniform guidelines.
