Assisting our students grow academically and spiritually has always
been a goal of our school. Our motto "Faith In The Future"
reinforces our belief in our students. This current Strategic Plan,
adopted by our School Advisory Council continues our tradition of
excellence in Catholic education.
Our plan is a roadmap for our school's goals and aspirations. It
serves to promote our direction in a concise manner. The reader
should be aware of the fact that any Strategic Plan is living document.
The School Advisory Council continually reviews the needs of our
students and the school community.
We are proud of our tradition of providing an excellent Catholic
education and welcome questions and suggestions about our school.
Facilities Plan
Within the next three years Saint Rose Catholic School will eliminate
the need for temporary rental classrooms and upgrade the current
classroom facilities. Upgrades will include: heating/air, lighting,
emergency systems, ADA compliance and sports facilities.
Scholarship Plan
Within the next five years Saint Rose Catholic School will eliminate
the dependence on the general fund to subsidize scholarships. The
Father Douglas Keating Scholarship Endowment, the parish subsidy
and scholarship specific fund raisers will fund annual scholarship
needs. Additional funds above the requested scholarship amounts
will be added to the principal of the above mentioned endowment
fund.
Endowment Plan
Within the next five years Saint Rose Catholic School will reduce
the need on general fundraisers to subsidize the general fund and
stabilize the amount of tuition increases annually. The funds will
be placed in endowment with the goal of increasing the principal
annually. Only the interest from this endowment will be used for
general fund additions.
Technology Plan
Within the next three years Saint Rose Catholic School will establish
a totally interactive technology environment. This will include
full access to resources via the Internet and Intranet by students,
parents and staff. Parents, teachers, administrators and students
will have the ability to interact electronically at their classroom
and home workstations.
Beginning the 2001 - 2002 school year, all staff members will receive
the first year of a three-year training program on integrating technology
into their classrooms. All credentialed staff will be required to
obtain Level I Technology Certification within one school year.
Recruitment & Retention Plan
The School Advisory Council will establish a sub committee to study
and make recommendations to administration on recruitment and retention
of both staff and students.
Curriculum Plan
Curriculum will exceed California State Framework expectations and
Curriculum Standards established by the California Department of
Education. An annual review by faculty and administration is currently
required.
